PR2.0 Ranked as One of the Top Marketing Blogs

With all of the craziness and mind-numbing action associated with CES, I almost missed a couple of huge achievements for PR 2.0.

It all started with Stumpette’s ranking of A-list PR blogs, where PR 2.0 ranked towards the top of the bunch based on Alexa rankings.

Strumpette 1
Strumpette 2

Then a few days later, Todd And complied a list of the Power 150 Top Marketing Blogs, where PR2.0 has hovered in the 90s. This must have taken quite sometime to produce, so hats off to him.

I would change a few of the metrics of course, placing greater value on Technorati and Alexa and less value on Bloglines and Google PageRank. Technorati and Alexa have a finger on the true pulse of an active site. The only other thing missing here is a solid metric for RSS subscriptions, and bloglines doesn’t hit it at all.

Honestly, I’m a bit shocked, considering I shifted URLs three months ago, which completely reset everything, including Technorati, Alexa, and Google PageRank standings. On the bright side, after such a short time, PR2.0 has quickly risen to earn decent metrics; however, it’s nowhere near where it was – darn you blogger.com!

Either way, it’s still an impressive and humbling experience to be included among a list of incredible thought leaders and writers.

All I can say is thank you.

If you're in San Francisco on 1/18, I'll be recording a live podcast on the Social Media Release along with Chris Heuer, Shel Holtz, and Tom Foremski as part of tomorrow's Third Thursday meetup.

Hope to see you there!
